I prefer to return to the store in which I purchased. I can get a brand new one exchanged that day! That's customer service! Something manufactures have a hard time achieving but what us loyal customers look for in dealers.

He most likely orders from the same manufacturers as everyone else as there are only 2 big ones in the U.S and im sure he could get you a new one in 1-2 days at the most.But you gotta look at it this way its a Talon and you wont have any problems!

So what you are saying is your the guy from the CL add, and you could get a replacement in 1-2 days. Oh and I have installed several talons. They do have their problems. The talon is definitely not as bad as a pp.

The craigslist guy is selling the 8' for $100.00 less than my total Talon and installed price, If you have warranty issues for 5 years it comes back to me if we installed it. Check our feedback and search Evans Marine on FWE and 2cool, see if the craigslist guy has any references. He maybe selling the refurbished units. Both PP and Talon are great units, both have specials right now, I personally prefer the Talon, but have had good luck with both. I just prefer the Talon because the additional features the Talon has as well less items to break mechanically. We have installed over 100 Talons, and over 150 PP, Had issues with both products, but both have great warranties and customer service. I will sell you the unit new not refurbished for $50.00 less than the other guy, but warranty would be through Minn-Kota after 30 days of sale if you self install. just my 2 cents.

How do you know are you the one selling these units?! Are you the one running the Craigslist ad?

You sure have been spamming the board a lot and were very active on this thread. Just my $0.02 but when something smells fishy it usually is... I could be wrong but there's some substantial information... Your from Katy, the Craigslist ad is from Katy.

At the very least, and with the amount of padding you gave to the ad... I hope the seller (if it isn't you) is giving you a commission.

Coe, I'm not worried about it, I am still cheaper 8' with out install Special right now is $1,150.00 and the 6' is $1,089.00 and comes from a reputable source. I think the new guy must be running the CL add.
