    Pointe West in Foreclosure

    Too bad that Lyda Ann Thomas the Beotch was too stupid to see it coming-Ponte West is being foreclosed on-the clubhouse pool, spa and all amenities are closed, so the suckers that bought there have none of the "promised" amenities now and they should have seen it coming from day one. The Centex Pointe West website when the development was first "proposed" showed a deepwater marina going out from the beach-yeah, sure, like that would happen. Instead, the ignorants in City Council and Herr Mayor gave away beach access for property/development dollars and screwed us all. Now the City gets screwed by having a dead horse on its tax rolls-anyone with ANY sense knew Pointe West was going to fail.

    I hope Lyda and Steve LeBlank enjoyed the $ and entertainment they had.

      Would be interesting to see if that was even in the contract. Highly doubt it. They bought into a master planned community, economy downturn, Ike etc. all played a role. First thing to start dropping is the housing market / sales in a recession and Galveston was no different.

      They should put the amenities into a homeowners association but that would require a purchase of the assets and who knows whose running with this thing now that it's in bankruptcy court.

                  Ha Ha MP.

                  Maybe if the sunbeaches at pointey West would have allowed public access, the stuff may have stayed open-having full staff with very few using the place was just dumb-overhead would be tremendous cost.
