George, DPop, and myself had a tough bite most of the day but finished strong the last 15 minutes. We all started the day off throwing Top Dogs and we all had our share of blowups but most were dinks and small Trout under 16". We did manage 3 19" Trout that gave us a whopping 6 lbs LOL. After hitting a few more spots we decided to make a 30 minute run to our last spot and give it 45 minutes. With 20 minutes left of our fishing time I stick a big Red that ended up pulling off. After a few bad words and recollecting myself I stick another that I managed to land. This Red was about 6 lbs. A few cast later I stuck a 3 lb Trout that upgrade another fish. A few minutes later we upgrade the 3rd fish. Within 15 minutes we went from 6 lbs to 12 lbs and collected our 3 fish live weigh in bonus and a 3rd place finish. One thing I have learned in the last 2 tourneys over the last two weeks is it aint over til its over!!!! Dpop and myself have pulled our best fish in the last hour of the tourneys. Slow starts but good finishes. The last two tourneys have had high pressure and slow bites, but we grinded it out til the end.
Had a great time on the water yesterday with Dpop and George. It was a fun tourney and congrats to everyone that fished.
Thanks to Capt. Lynn for another great tourney.
