  • So dad gum beautiful out here!

Ever have one of those nights on the water where you don't want to go to sleep because it's just so dad gum perfect? Easy breeze from the East. Hardly any skeeters. Temps around 76. I'm sitting out on the porch reading Band of Brothers and it's just perfect out here. I'll be beggin' for nights like this all winter.

If you ain't on the water this weekend, you're really missing out.

On a somber note, I'm really missin' my old buddy Fat Albert tonight. He loved it out here on nights like this, hangin' out on the porch, catchin' dragon flies and eating them, then presenting me with the gift of what was left over. LOL. Wings all over the place. If anyone here has ever had a cat that was like a dog, you know what I'm missing.

I'll be in Sea Isle tomorrow hittin' TMO's cookin' team up for some good eats. If anyone's in the neighborhood, let me know. - Sandy

These little cold fronts will make it awesome porch-sittin' weather. Need to make it down soon.

I spent the afternoon at a BBQ cookoff in Sea Isle with TMO's cookoff team. Had a great time, except for the Cardinal's implosion versus the Phillies. Got back just barely in time for a resplendent sunset. I'll take a break while y'all look up that word.

Tonight there will be no generator noise. I'm going to go old school and enjoy the sounds of the Bayou.

Damn Sandy, you make it sound so good. I wish I could be there Mr.
Ya, Albert was very cool. I liked him.
Time enough has passed. The animal shelters are full of mature cats and most every shelter has one or two cats that are exceptional in they're disposition.

Good point, Bert. We just picked up our first family cat last week. She a cute, feisty little rapscallion! My daughter & I named her "Kitty Momo", but she has earned the moniker "Terror Kitty" since she keeps stalking our puppy & whacking him on the nose! It's fun to have a cat again!

the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.

My 18 yo cat passed two winters ago and I think I'm about ready myself but I'm thinking about a shelter cat that's at least four yo.

I've had another one since about 2 weeks after I lost Albert, but he's no bayou cat. I don't know what would happen if I brought him out here.

What a good day. Lots of hand sized mangrove snapper out here. Hope we have a normal winter and they don't die off again. Oh, and Saints win, Texans win, Cowgirls lose. That makes the day even better.

I think I'm going to try to make it out there this weekend Sandy If your planning on being there. I need to got one more bayou weekend in before Duck season starts, and the next 2 weekends I'll be working at the duck lease.
