  • Key Largo, Florida: questions

Any of you folks ever been over to Key Largo, Florida?

Might have a chance to go down there later in the summer for a few days.

Any tips, advice, or recommendations on places to stay, things to do, etc. is greatly appreciated.

Last time I was there was 1988. I was only 15. I still remember all the bikini babes. Ahhhh.

Hemingway liked it enough to write about it. Bogey and Bacall made it a place to deal with gangsters during a hurricane. Can't be a bad place.

I've got a buddy that's got a 31' Shamrock Grandslam that he keeps down there. Let me know when you're going and I'll see if I can hook you up.

Key largo is cool, but drive about 40 more miles to Islamorada and visit Bud and Mary's.
Bud N' Mary's is a world famous fishing marina located in the heart of the beautiful Florida Keys - Islamorada, FL. Call us today at 305-664-2461

Anywhere along the keys you can catch world class tarpon as well as other offshore species from bridges and jetskies. Second to Venice, LA, it is my favorite fishing destination in the states. Watch your speeds on the keys and beware of no prop zones in the water and you will have a blast.

You gotta check out bass pro shop in Islamorada. There is an area with tarpon outside and a really cool dock and restaurant next door. Worth the stop!
