Very cool! Thanks for posting.

When I first witnessed the situation as I pulled into the old KOA, it seemed absolutely hopeless. A tow truck driver was on the scene, but the driver was just shaking his head as it seemed the van owners were pleading for him to go out. I got to the meeting and told Coe and Bailey about it and they were gone in a flash to check it out. Kudos to the driver of the big truck. Arriving like JEB Stuart on his fine mount, he rescued the beseiged anglers with aplomb. Very cool video Coe!From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. It looked to me like they had camped there. People are always camping out on that bar. I don't understand why they would do that and risk their cars. From 1970-1997, true heaven on Earth existed on the banks of Bayou Cook. "Hey Dad, Thanks for buying the Camp."

Only time I freaked out like that was on SPI when a high tide and large waves got me pinned against some high dunes, and nowhere to go. I should have known better, but mama wanted to come back down the beach before nightfall, since we didn't have any beach camping gear. All I could do was steer high as I could by the dunes but that was pure sugar sand that just got wet like quicksand, and down she went to the axles. A nice surfer dude got me out of the hole - he was already dragging 40 foot of shrimper rope behind his F-250 and said he'd already pulled a few fishermen & cops in 4WD trucks out of the hole and to told me to follow him fast as I could, which I did. Hitting 2 foot of waves was surely a treat and she wanted to float and fish out to sea on the undertow but we made it, and yeah you had to go fast when conditions allowed it, like at least 30 because everything wanted to bog you down. Totally out of control and dark as heck but oddly, kinda fun like dirt trackin' or motocross! Yep, even had a beer in one hand, classic fisherman style. Learned my lesson about that rodeo, yes I did.
