Oww-that hurts lookin at it!! 61st Med clinic is quickest and cheapest place-do not hit UTMB-almost $1000 bill. Also, buy one of those hook-out kits-they work good.


I put two prongs of a treble in my belly on Lake Guerrero back in mid 80s from a rattle trap-did it on a Thursday-almost lost one hook in my fat after cutting it, but pinched it through and got it out. Monday I hit my Houston doctor and told him I had to use some old rusty needle nose pliers to get it out and needed a tetanus shot since it had been over 10 years-he said it was too late!! I got a booster anyway-and obviously dint get lockjaw!!!!

One word. Ladyfish... Tried hand grabbin her at the boat she spit the hook and took off opposite direction with line thru her mouth and firmly set hook in my finger!

Ouch! That's a tough one.

Really bad angle for pushing it all the way through, then cutting. Also, the finger is a bad place for the loop of line through the bend and yank/push down trick since the finger is too mobile.

I would have had you get drunk as a skunk, then made a small relief cut for the barb since it looks pretty shallow. Free of charge

Hope you get better soon. If you fish a lot it will happen sooner or later. Last time for me was stepping on a limb line hook on a buddies boat and it was in the tough part of the heel of my foot. Not fun.
