    Heading to freeport area to fish TT pass on my yak for first time, what bait camps are near by?

    If your fishin titlum tatlum?There is a bait camp near the entrance of the koa camp ground's ramp.

        You will have no problem putting in at the park.Once you get to the last pier on the left watch out for the boat's and stuff.If starting out before sunrise have your yak light's on.When you fish TT be careful because the depth changes and boat's have to change from running from one side of the shoreline to the next.Good luck

          This will be only my 2nd time out in my kayak (got it yesterday), but i heard if you stay along the bank you will be fine, any problems from boat wake here? (for a noob)

            Once you get in TT no problem but you gotta cross were slp and cold pass meet.If some of the people i know then yes on boat wake.lol.Just keep your eye on the boater like you would on the car's in the lane's on 45.Most people that go up TT are nice execpt Sandy..J/K

              Bright Lite(979-233-8115), right by KOA, can't miss it. There's also Bridge Bait in Freeport.

                  KOA is another name for SLP park. I don't think there's any difference.

                      i would get bait in surfside,brite light is expensive.
                      the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.

                        wow didnt know about that map! very handy! Thanks! I want to try catching my own in my new cast net but wanted to have some just in case my netting skills are sub par, thanks spook!
