7'6" Simano Terramar - I'd go to 8 if I wanted but am happy. I wade the surf a bunch and am often up to nearly my armpits in the water. Yup, a little hard on the wrist for all-day fishing, but there again I try to hit the sweet times. I said "try" right?

I have a older 8' Allstar I like to use in the surf because I like to chunk live bait under a popping cork.
I like it because it's easy to control a green fish swimming in a circle until he's played out or keeping the distance between me and the occasional hooked small shark.

I love mine, very skinny, nice composite and guides, some say too much backbone for the skinny water but I like to catch big fish. Maybe Moe knows better about the details.

I use a 7 ft for the boat, 6.6 ft for wading & once in a while when the wind lays down, a 9 ft for the flats.

I don't have any under 7'. I can cast a long way with an 8'. I hate to say this but I like them long.

I use 7' but I have a friend that use only 8' ttf rods. I was still out casting and had more accurate casts than him. He was using a curado with 10# mono and I was using my citica with 12# floracarbon
