Heavy Mosquitoes

It was nice to catch a break in the wind, but dang. Once the wind died this morning the mosquitoes came out in hoards. Didn't notice them in the flats but had a hard time just trying to clean off the yak back at the house. I thought it was a bit odd to see so many after such a long time without rain. Anyone else?

No skeeters this morning at the surf,....but there were plenty of biting flies and flying ants.

Saw the first love bugs today also.

The skeeters seem to be everywhere right now, in Lake Jackson too. I believe it was the high tides last week that caused the latest hatch.

I saw mosquito trucks before the holiday weekend I get bit each time I take the dogs for a walk. Time to break out the summer cologne... OFF DEEP WOODS

Yea, the trucks were out spraying before the weekend but I didn't really think much about it at the time.

Talked to a friend in Angleton. She said they're so thick she can't go outside without a bunch of them flying into her nose!

I like mosquitoes. They keep all the rift raft living in places like Houston. If it were easy living down here everybody would be doing it.

BTW, there was an overnight shower on Wednesday last week down in the Demi John area. I don't know if it got LJ or not, but the roads and everything was plenty wet when I was on my way to work.
