Stopped there yesterday, just out of curiousity. O M G. Best Cheese Burger EVER. It is now our Hamburger spot. The waitress said the seafood ravioli is just wonderful too.

I eat there most Wednesday nights somewhere around 630 to 7pm. I usually go for the hamburger steak with greens. Oh yeah, it's a good thing.

I think I got the drift on that. they cleaned the tables and chairs and the condement bottles too. Not sure where you are going with that. OH sorry. Its not the same Louis you knew back then. I would have to agree with you 30 years ago, but this is 2011.

Off Highway 6, just W. of Bayou Vista on the other side of the bridge that crosses over highland bayou. Surprised you haven't heard of it, it is a popular yak launch.

I used to have their number in my phone and would call in so they would have a burger and fries ready as I paddled in to the ramp. They have raised the price a bit since they reopened but I'm sure it is still great stuff.

It is also a lot nicer since they rebuilt after Ike and the food is typically really good!

Since I live in Galveston I usually launch here, but it sounds like I'd better cross the bridge for this! I think I'll put their number in my cell as well! LOL!

I thought the food was mediocre, however I had a shrimp po boy. Maybe the 12.95 price tag had me thinking it was going to be great. I'll still give the burger a try.
