Can somebody post a picture with Google Earth of...

...of the north shorline of the Moses Lake levee west of the flood gate. I went out the other night thinking I would go into the lake to find a protected shore line but coming out of the Dickinson channel and then turning right ( Heading East ) towards the flood gate in pitch black with just my driving lights I came across a huge sand bar / shoal that is new and it really had me screwed up. The wind was pumping hard and the water was shallow all around. I think it was pure luck that I was able to get the boat back to deep water and head back to the ramp stumped over this. It was a bad experience.

I saw a working dredge out there last fall but the work they left behind back then wasn't anything like what is out there now and I haven't heard anyone talking about it. If anything, maybe it will make for a good flounder gigging area on a calm night.

i think i know where you are talking about, I fished there last week with a couple of buddies. it was my first time there, but there was a tri-hulled sail boat that was abandonded on what i think is the sand bar you are talking about. Someone ran it aground i guess, it did have an anchor line coming off the bow, I don't know why though cause it wasn't going anywhere.

It's a little more west of that Gilbert, I'd guesstimate about by 3/4 of a mile but you are on the correct shoreline.
Also the images may not be up-to-date to reflect this new hazard.

Gilbert...that's a shot of the south end of Moses lake near the "Atwatwer Prarie Chicken Nature preserve".
I can't use G-Earth at work but it probrably dosen't matter as the images shown are over a year old.

Thanks Coe but the last two pictures are of from the inside of Moses Lake.
I'm looking for a image that shows the levee shore line aprox halfway from the mouth of the Dickinson channel and the flood gate and extending about 150 yards from the shore. Another way to word it is "The Southern portion of Dickinson Bay". An area adjacent and South East of the man-made bird sancturary.

Again I have no idea which direction to go. I don't know this area. Get on google maps (www.google.com) and make a map & drop a dot where you want to me center the image.
