Platform, rig names

How do people know what the names of platforms and rigs are? People say like Mitchel 12 etc. Where do they get a list? I can see platforms all over my gps software but with no names.

We call them by their block names... High Island Block 235 etc. Galveston Block # and those are all on a chart of the gulf...

Anywhere I can find a pdf gulf chart with block names? My Garmin doesnt give me the option.
