I don't blame you for being upset if he was "running and gunning" through the cove you were in. He has always idled in and out on the few dealings that I've had with him. I spoke to him the first time and actually paddled over to his boat to check out that Etec. He seemed like a nice guy and he shared some info on where he had been seeing redfish throughout the morning.
Maybe I'm just that good looking?

Ok......
So if i'm a fishing guide on the coast, is it ok if i come and potlick right off of where you're fishing because i'm trying to make a living off of these fish and off of this water and you happen to be in the spot i found the fish in yesterday and i don't want my sports to go home without a bunch of baggies full of filets?
*Let's all remember that OUR bays are a PUBLIC RESOURCE that people(such as most everyone here and myself) pump money into through license/stamp purchases, conservation organization donations, and various other volunteer work.

Airboat tours guy screwed my fishing up too... Crabber guy is okay he just comes down & just know he's not going to skip one so either move & give him some space or be ready for a close encounter he's usually gone in 3 minutes & if your nice he won't power out he'll putt putt off

I had a party of 6 girls today
Tough bite to say the least...
I get to a ss cove and catch our first bite
Then "airboat guy " rolls in
I'm thinking of mounting a 50 caliber
On the front of the whaler!!!
Why come in the cove where so many people
Fish on weekends when he has 50,000
Sq mile of marsh across the bay!
It's called common respect and courtesy
This guy is a grade a jackwad
That's my .02

Speaking of birds...i had to send some up the other day.
Yes...this guy is really considerate of fisherman. Here's an example of his consideration.
Late spring last year, clark08 and myself were on a good topwater bite in the far back of one of the coves in West and i was actually standing right next to one of Crab Catcher's traps. I was catching a few fish right there so i didn't move and in roles Crab Catcher. I think to myself...he'll just go on, check his other traps, leave, and come back for this one at a later time. WRONG. Homeboy rolls up behind me, doesn't say a word to me while approaching, and cleans out/rebaits the trap that is less than 5 yards from me. We had already had one of out pleasant coversations earlier in the spring, so i just look at him, shake my head, throw a bird up, and start the walk back to the boat.
I hope they close the crab season on the Texas coast.
Regards,
Bird Releaser

I would use a comma between short lived and summer.Originally posted by Hogie70 View PostWhat this crabber needs to do is catch Kenny in a prime top water bite and slow in and slow out on Kenny’s reef... That will be the test to see if ole' doc got Kenny's meds right... LOL This kind easy going Kenny is short lived summer fishing is here... LOL the seagulls won’t be the only birds flying... LOL
