GARFIELD ON THE OIL CRISIS





A lot of folks can't understand how we came to have an oil shortage here in our country.

Well, there's a very simple answer.

1. Nobody bothered to check the oil.

2. We just didn't know we were getting low.

3. The reason for that is purely geographical.

Our OIL is located in:

Alaska, California, Coastal Florida, Coastal Louisiana, North Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Kansas, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania & Texas

Our dipsticks are located in DC....

Nice!! Sad but true-with gas below $4 mcf, the unconventional shale gas players are sucking wind, limited oil plays going on and our Fearful Leader, Obummer, wants to take away the tax investment incentives for oil-no wonder why we are gonna pay more than $4/gallon this summer-dipsticks in D.C. pretty much sums it up. Texas should Secede, close borders, send all illegals back to wherever they came from and charge surtax for each drop of oil sent north-fixes the State's entire budget crisis.

$4 fuel was predicted earlier this year. here it is and Obummer is doing nothing!! Idiot. My boss spoke today to some DC guys about the hit we are taking in the oilfiled service industry. Something has to give it is going to get ugly. People need to speak up. I would love to see a million people show up on that doorstep. Most people in the US have no idea what it takes to get oil out of the ground or how it drives our economy. But then again most people are idiots. Sad to say just the trufff!!

I was told from a DOE employee 2 yrs ago that fuel would be 5.00 a gallon by the end of this year. I posted that on the other site way back when. So I'm not surprised at the price at the pump. So what is your cutoff point in regards to extracirricular activities? At what point will ya' quit makin' that drive to the deer lease or POC?

Never, I will keep fishing and I will keep paying the $4 plus per gallon at JT's place (West End Marina). Just like everything else, you can cut back on other things, but you can't quit doing what you love because of gas prices. By the way, has anyone every calculated what it cost per gallon for bottled water!

The pumps are usually broke-after JT adds in the pump repair cost, it'll be cheaper to buy the gas in Qatar and having it shipped via Fed-X in 5 gallon cans!!

I filled up my truck at JT's place last night... He still selling gas for $2.95 / GA cheaper than anywhere else lol
