My parents came into town Sat. so I didn't get a chance to help out. They are needing help again this coming Sat. to put the finishing touches on some stuff and build a cleaning table. I think most of the work was done on the W. Bay side.

    Taken from TKF...

I arrived down at GISP around 9 pm on friday and met up with Texas75069, sharkbait and peanut67 who were also camping that weekend. The weather was nice during the night, but around 6 am, the front blew in and it got cold. We had a good turn out for the clean up with 15 TKFer's to help out. I want to thank sharkbait, peanut67, texas75069, my fishing buddy, frustrated, landsharktx, fryemup & son, fishinrod, mini blue, pluggin along and easily yakked for helping out in the cleaning up process. We also had one gentleman who was not a TKF member show up and help. We had cleaned an area between 40-50 acres that day picking up debris. My fishing buddy had found a carved wooden pelican, other items included pictures, football pads, billard balls, fishing equipment, and the list can go on. I also want to thank landsharktx for cooking hot dogs and sausage for lunch.

Sunday - We started around 9:30 am. I want to thank landsharktx for helping us getting a game plan together on how the project should be constructed. Thank you again. We had a total of 15 help out and a friend of landsharktex. A another big thank you needs to go to W5CDS (Charlie) for the use of his generators. Thank you also needs to go to redfishgirl & pluggin along for going to get lunch, pizza. They went out and got 20 pizzas to eat. Everyone worked together as a team and had a lot of fun. We completed the structure of the building and will be back the following saturday (3/07) to put on the finishing touches. This will include the guard rails, roof and installing 4x4's. So if you are interested in helping out, let me know ASAP. I will not be able to attend, so once at the park, get in touch with landsharktx at the park. I want to thank texas75069, sharkbait, peanunt67, frustrated, landsharktx, W5CDS, pluggin alon, salt_fly, fishin rod, ayjay, redfishgirl, black dog for coming down to help out.
    and...

This past weekend we had a good turnout for the clean up and the building project - fish cleaning station. We did not get a chance to compelte the fish cleaning station. Next Saturday, March 7 at the GISP, we are meeting again to complete this project. It will not take as many people, 10-15 at least to install four 4x4's in concrete, install handrail and to install the roofing on the building.

If you are interested in doing this, please let me know asap so that I can contact the Park Rangers. We will need generators, power tools, ladders, etc. I will not be able to make it that weekend. Once at the park, please get in touch with landsharktex - Ron. The meeting place will be at the fish cleaning station.
