Friends smoked a brisket for us this weekend. I'll have to say, eating it has gotten me motivated to go to the cookout. It was one of the best I had and had me licking my fingers from the juice running out of it. I may have a conflict, but I'm going to try. If I can make, I'll help as well.

Guys I won't be making it either other than I might show up after working nights and share a early morning drink before bed if anyone is still up. Plus I'll season the beans just like last time, that way Gilly at least has another chance!
Also, I still have serving containers and fork, knife packs from last year to use...and I want to purchase plates for work that night....this will equal donations!

no frijoles this year but bring the serving containers and forks.

I think it would be a great idea if we all sell (pre-sale) Briskets not only do people in your office or work area enjoy the Brisket but the money made can be donated to the charity.

Barham put me down for an entire extra case I know the office will get involved once I put up a flyer & send out a mass e-mail. They love stuff like this.

what we should do is preauction them to be picked up sat at a fixed price everyteam donates one cooked brisket , Tiny did that last year but im not sure how it all worked out... or the exact details ....briskets are sky high right $$$$$$, I hear its because alot of them are being shipped to China ....a decent brisket is 25-30 bucks un cooked...

Good going briskets will sell,Tiny i have a question, Do you know anything about the beer tabs people collect for clubs for money ? Is there anything like that for the Shriners ?
