How can Galveston do this? Seawall Boulevard belongs to the state of Texas not the city of Galveston. They were told once before they couldn't put up parking meters on State property.

That's why I said "Formerly" in my post citing the OBA! It'll be interesting what happens-I bet the GLO says "whatever ya wanna do is OK" just like they did when they closed the beach by Pointyhead West. I don't care-I don't hang at the Seawall-my position is the COG politicos are a bag of rocks and only line pockets of their "buddies" at all others' expense.
They play a nice tune, but when you hear the words it sounds more like "Paul is dead, Paul is dead." They speaketh with forked tongue and say what folks wanna hear (only 10% of revenue will go to Administration"-sure, and I throw back 10-12# trout every day I fish-has the same meaning-BS).
