  • Heavy Fog........ Be Careful Tomorrow

Especially if you plan on wading. There have been a lot of people wading upper bay spoils, N. Deer & Confederate lately. If you plan on wading in the fog, I'd recommend staying close to shore and out of areas that people may use for running lanes, like along the bay side of the spoils, and the gut in front of the piers at Confederate.
If you're running your boat, slow way down, listen for engine noise and use you horn/whistle often........Oh yeah, and anchor next to the shoreline or some place you can find if you get lost in the fog! LOL

Thanks for the heads up, hitting or getting hit by a boat would really screw up a fishing trip.

All I can say is, thank the good Lord for compass bearings. Or I'd have been up the creek, or out in the Gulf. Luckily I have it down to the degree and made it to the camp with no problem. I did have quite a mental issue with TRUSTING the compass. It just didn't FEEL right. I kept wanting to turn a bit more to the North. Luckily I didn't listen and trusted the compass. Visibility right now is less than 40 feet. I can see the bow of my boat from the porch, but not the motor. When I left Angleton, it was lovely sunshine, then BAM. But I wouldn't turn around. I had to get out here to Blockade Runners. All's good now. Y'all do be careful tomorrow!

Very good info, had a close call with a boat along a shoreline one time...has the bay fillied up the last few days to a normal or higher level?

No, not really. It's kind of odd with the onshore wind this week, especially the pumping SE Wed. & Thurs.

I was noticing that in Seabrook on the way to work this morning. I can't believe it is still so low.

Tell you what...early in the am it sure helps us boaters to wear a head lamp. Came upon the pimp Friday morning and he had some waders out with him...if I wAs going fast it could have gotten ugly let alone screwing up their wade from not seeing them. This also goes for waders before sun up. Happened to me twice on the north shoreline where I would be running to the back Lakes and someone in the water would flash a light so I could see them. Again not just about safety...I am able to turn fAr enough out as not screw up their wade...be safe

the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.
