Show that HOG,half of the show is you BUD! Walk that pig in there like you are the man and show the judge each side of him from a distance ,don't ever get up to close to the judge .That is one thing i had to drill into my son.The Judge don't like to look straight down on the animal if you are a way's from the judge and you see him looking at you drive your pig to him then turn him half ways if he is still giving you attn. turn you pig away so to see the hams walk! GOOD LUCK
If it helps ,my son didn't place at HLSR> last year and went to butcher and he got 45 bucks in the mail .LOL

Considering the house odds, I'd keep a reserve for a Greyhound ride back, when you become a comedian like the rest if us.

I dont know what it cost primer but ten years ago when I was in ag is cost me about $850 to buy and raise the pig that I had. I was lucky and everything and our school show went over the auction. I was lucky enough that some of my dads customers needed a tax write off and got $5500 for it. The sad part was it was a last place pig and sold more for grand and reserve combined. If every one gets together to buy the pig I will through in a couple hundred cause i know how it is going into an action not nowing if your even going to break even. I know i am new here and dont know any of yall but would love to help this kid out.

Primer, I think everyone knows that this is just a contingency plan. If it does work out that way, My $50 will go toward your share of da meat.
