Greetings to all and glad to be here! Plugger is my younger brother
(don't hold it against me!!)
and he told me about the site. Have enjoyed reading the reports and discussion already.
Me? I'm a long way from the 'ole stomping grounds around Galveston, but I have fond memories. Our Dad was a fishing nut (thankfully), and most of our family outings were fishing and crabbing in the Galveston area. We have salt in our blood. I subscribe to Texas Fish and Game and enjoy reading about what is going on back there.
When I visit Houston, Plugger is a great host and we go fishing. Last visit, he let me use his spare yak (yeah, he has two) and we went out on East Bay. I didn't know quite what to expect, but in no time I felt right at home in the skinny boat. We didn't have a killer day - I caught one spec and a monster sting ray (I thought I had a big red) - when I got him to the boat, I decided to donate my plug to him rather than try to rassle it from him in the yak!
I got transplanted here to Washington State after a hitch in the Army and love the beautiful scenery, lakes, salt fishing, river fishing, hunting, and all the rest. But part of me is still there in the bay. Hope to be back soon for another visit. In the meantime, catch a few for me!
God bless, and tight lines!
