New to West End

Looking forward to getting to know the folks on the West End! Grew up fishing Port O and Port Mansfield so I know very little (well nothing) about the Galveston Bay System. I am open to any pointers or tips. Any tips that will make sure I am not "that guy" are appreciated.

Welcome BlueDawg ! I guess you know enough to have gotten a boating Hook N Line Fishing Map to get a grasp of the bay's topography . Some easy motoring around to get to know the bay or better yet hire fishing guide Greg Francis of Salt Water Assault , a site sponser , to show you around . That would really fast forward the learning curve.

welcome. I grew up fishing POC too. Not the same place anymore. Way overcrowded and overfished. I been thinking about learning the local bay system too. Just got to find the time.

I agree with all that understand that POC is too crowded and over fished. For the past 3 years I resorted to fishing on Mondays and Tuesdays (take vacation days). It used to be a great place until everyone found out about it. Yes Plugger I am going to reach out to Mr Francis for a guided trip. You are the 4th person that has referred him.

Thanks Curmudgeon. I went to the My Profile and I don's see the control panel. Maybe the admin restricts "Greenhorns" for a trial period. I think that tab is hidden from me. Also I am not technical.

Try clicking on SETTINGS then look left at edit avatar , edit profile , etcetera .
