Hello my name is sam. I live in the Galveston area. I posted this about 3 times so bare with me.hope this one gets in. I have fished the Galveston jetties for over 25 years. Just got a proline 31sport center console plan on doing a lot of off shore fishing everybody keeps telling me I have to go out of freeport. Instant of Galveston going for Dorados and wahoo is that true about going out of freeport

Welcome aboard I'm a inshore cat but I will try to help. I don't think there is much of a difference in running out of Galveston or Surfside? The shelf is closer to Freeport yes but assuming you have the range you can access good area out of Galveston too. I ran out of Galveston on calm days in a 22' Robalo 60 miles before.Originally posted by Sam1959 View Post

Buddy boat with another boat or meet out on the water somewhere if you're running out of different ports.

Thanks to all that responded. Will my boat will be ready the first week of April doing the hole 9 yards . Putting 2 brand new Hondas 225 all new electronics real excited about it .Comment
