Greetings from John! I am glad to be a new member of West End Anglers...and am excited to have found a home for anglers from our locale.
Background and Fishing Experience:
I have fished Galveston inshore and offshore for 30+ years and enjoy most every style of fish and fishing approach - although my favorite is trout and redfishing West Galveston bay and surf via wading, boat, and kayak. Some of the fun and often productive fishing trips I make include:
I enjoy fishing both artificials and live bait. I do pride myself on gathering some good baits via castnet...or buying from my local source to ensure I have the offerings needed - especially for extended or night trips.
Availability:
My residences are in both LaMarque and Katy, Texas and am actively seeking like-minded fishing partners to share the waters with.
I work for myself and with a little upfront planning can fish during the week...and of course weekends. My phone number and e-mail are in my signature page on my profile.

I have fished Galveston inshore and offshore for 30+ years and enjoy most every style of fish and fishing approach - although my favorite is trout and redfishing West Galveston bay and surf via wading, boat, and kayak. Some of the fun and often productive fishing trips I make include:
- Drift fishing (at night, 2/3 to full moon) the Tiki Island inlet from Tiki Island, past Fat Boy's into Jones Lake. Great trout, flounder, and redfishing.
- Kayak fishing the inlet into the Galveston Golf Course for flounder, etc., and then kayak fishing or wading in the opposite direction towards the landing light bridge to Scholes Field. Also great gigging for Flounder.
- One and 2 night offshore trips during the late Spring, Summer, and Fall. There's nothing like calm nights offshore at night. Awesome!
- Wade and Boat fishing the lower end of Galveston bay - near San Luis Pass.
- Setting up generator and lights on the beach, Pelican Island, or the deep canals of the bay (Green's Cut, Diversionary Canal, etc.) on calm nights for trout, etc.,
