  • Billystix spiral "no trigger"

    guys
i have have had a couple guys ask me to build a couple 6ft6 wadeerstix spiral's for wading but no trigger, it caught me off guard at first but after giving it some thought i remember back when i was a kid rods never had triggers execpt the metal ones that was welded on, and the men our dads would cut them off because they said they were not comfy and now it seems that some of the bigger rod company's are building inshore rods with straight grips and no trigger, i tried the ones i built and they seem to work fine.
if you have any thoughts on this or if this is something you would like to try give me a call and i will work with you to get one going and give you a good price that way i can get some real feed back. dont forget i still have my deal going on a cap.t shirt, and decal.

Donna really does not like her new Castaway I purchased, she thinks the grip (cork) is way to long and the rod is heavy. I would like to get her a nice one for her birthday, can you hook me up?

As for the no trigger rod, I might want to try it out. I say that because my pinky figure on my left had goes around the trigger and really starts hurting after a few hours of throwing. It is broken, so that is the reason it hurts.

i dont know if she has a spin or a bait cast, but i can already tell you 1 thing for sure the reason she does not like it is that it is not balanced and has a lower grip of approx 12 in or better ??
and the answer to you question can i make her happy, you bet your biddy i can and can back it 100% all you need do is give me a call and we can discuss what she needs, i can build it in what ever colors she wants and get it light so that she will enjoy the fishing experience.
on your finger problem i think you would feel very comy with a short reel seat with no trigger it really surprised me after casting a bit the confidence level was good, the grip was excellent and the advantage was that you can move your hand freely, i also noticed the balance point on the 7 in grip on the 6ft6 was excellent, i need to do a 7ft balanc check as well.
also starting wth all my spirals i am going to stay with the low profile guides because they are proving to be total winners , i also rediscovered something that i yoused to do and got away fro it and said " oh my god" how did i get away fro doing that now the spiral is going to be much better, i cant discuss it here due to it being a builder thing but if you want to call me and chat give me a call and lets just jaw if you want,
new t shirts on the way.
