Hey Stix, what are the handles made of on the cam rods? Are they durable? Just wondering what they will look like in time. Have you done any camo blanks with cork handles? I would love to have a camo blank with blaze orange wraps. What is the price range on your rods and what kinda lead time do you have?

      Camo rods

      Thanks for asking
the grips on the camo rods are already cork, i send the cork grips to the camo company to have them camoed, as far as durability not sure , i have only been building these for approx 10 months so thus far no complaints, but it would be no different than say getting a boat "wrapped" or having a gun camoed,my web master has a set of shot guns that he had camoed by the same people well over 10 years ago and you cant see any thing on the guns, and yes he does not use them each week end.
But look at your current rods with cork grips they sure as heck are not pretty and that i know for sure, i repair rods quite often and i see the cork abuse and i also see the ones that are taken care of, so my point why even consider having a custom rod and not taking care of it like it was an investment. If you do take care of it then that of course will add life to to ant thing, now to answer your question can i or will i install plain cork on the camoed blank ? Answer it's your rod yes :d if i were to purchase a nice camo rod i would get my buck's worth.
Right now i can build you a camo rod with titanium guides for $250 plus ship, lets look at this closely titanium guides retail for close to $100 a set but i put then on at my cost this makes the camo rod a very nice buy at $250 most custom rod builders would get a good bit more. Just let me know.
