As far as raising the minimum wage-pure bullchip. Costs are included in the goods, so all that does is cause inflation which means that those folks that got an increase LOSE IT ON THE HIGHER COST OF GOODS. It is very simple, yet with an idiot like Obama that never worked in a real job, WTF do you expect.

Yeah let depend in politicians to fix all our problems when there better at creating problems.I think business should create jobs and the gubermint should collect the taxes and make sure the businesses are playing with a full deck. politics has never been good in business.I red some were that there or more unemployed college educated people than then any other demographic that had to do with an education. the Government done a fine job of running businesses out of this country as well as leading freeloaders from across the river and down south have carte blanche.

Passing a bill to fund ANOTHER government program is not going to help anything. This will no doubt be news to you democrats, but demand creates jobs. I'd suspend stupid EPA rules and other "politically correct" federal regulations and help businesses expand creating that demand for more workers.

In Obama's five years more rules & regulations have been created that ALL the previous administrations combined.

I thought it was stupid of them to extend the unemployment benefits... BUC-EES pays more than unemployment pays. Get a job, it is a temporary benefit ineda & givme are dying or dead. It’s like food stamps it is a temporary benefit not to make a living on.

Absolutely I agree with an extension until Congress quits saying NO and passes a jobs bill. Here in our area we are blessed with the energy corridor and have pulled through the recession quite well. Good livable waged jobs will help everyone with full 40 hr a week pay and bring in needed tax revenue. Lots of blame to go around but lots of solutions as well.

A million and a half people are losing emergency unemployment benefits the first. These are people who have exhausted their 26 week state benefits and used up to 44 weeks, I believe, of emergency federal unemployment. I don't think this is the group that had 99 weeks of unemployment. The president wants to extend that aid.

The inland Inuit's (eskimos) survived for thousands of years on hunting Caribou, then early French trappers showed up and convinced them to hunt and trap for hides. Each spring for a decade or more, the French showed up for the hides which they traded for more ammunition, traps and food. One year the French didn't show up and the entire population starved.

Millions with no government check will riot in the streets. The US government owns millions of acres of land in the US. Maybe it's time to once again offer 40 acres and a mule.
