Some of the guys that work for me took off and had their limits in about 45 minutes over near Katy. All white wings. They called to rub it in. I told em their final checks would be in their boxes when they got back!!
      Shut up and FISH!!

        Katy Area Hunt

My father and I made a trip to Katy this morning. We arrived a little later than we wanted, but still managed a few birds before the afternoon heat. I hunted from 7:45am to about 10:45am. I boxed 6 birds before lunch. A couple of guys had limits before 12:00 a few fields over. After lunch (sliced beef and sausage sandwich at Midway Bar-B-Que w/ a side of potato salad), I wasn't worth a damn. I went to sleep in the truck to compensate for the late work night yesterday. My Father continued to hunt and pulled out a limit.

I hunted public land for the first time at unit 2034 15 minutes west of College Station. Shot twicce at a bird 70 yards away. Heard lots of shooting but most of it was on private land. Anybody know a decent public place to hunt around here?
