  • Gun Safety - Warning Graphic Photo

A buddy of mine went out drinking with friends. They got hammered. Upon their return home my buddy leaves in the cab and goes home. Apparently a few hours after his departure the two other guys thought it would be wise to pull out some of the guns to look at. One of the guys removes an AR15 from the safe and hands it to his friend directly behind him. The guy in front of the safe turns back to it to grab another firearm. The AR15 discharges. The friend pulled the trigger while holding weapon down towards the ground. The only problem, he had it pointed at his foot. The bullet hit between the big toe and 2nd. They may have to amputate the big toe.

Firearm safety is important do not play or show off guns ever! They are a tool and should be treated with care and the upmost safety at all times. Be safe in the fields this weekend.

Used to work with a guy that blew a hole through the middle of his foot with a 45. Somehow it discharged while he was exiting a vehicle. Also have a neighbor that dropped trou to crap at the deer lease with a singe action 44 revolver strapped to his side and shot a hole in his leg. Happens way more than it should.

I keep all my guns loaded, an unloaded gun is no good to me should I need it during middle of night or at a moments notice.

Even locked away in the safe? I got one loaded ready too but not the ones in a safe. If your in a bind you won't be able to get up unlock the safe then get the gun out etc.

Not a loaded gun in my house - got shotgun shells and a 12 gauge where I can reach them while I'm lying in bed though. Used to keep them all loaded until one of my buddies kids picked up one of his guns and shot his little brother on accident. He lived, thank god, but my buddy has never been the same with guns since.

Loaded yes...one in the chamber no. Only takes a brief second to put one in action.

Same here with two kids around all the time. Might be different if not though. All scenarios fit different for the person involved. But in light of all that...I but that chit hurt....hope he comes out fortunate enough to not lose his toe.

Drinking and guns don't go together, just fishing
