    Robalo,

I picked up my teal tags a few weeks back. You don't actually need one for each type though, one size fits all. Still have a bunch to use!

The way my shottie is jamming, I may just sent it to Barack-o

          Dammit MJ.

I didn't know that-the bastage at Bass Pro sold me one for each type at $10 each. I'm calling their manager right now. Sumbitch done stole from me-maybe he is selling copper wire in Snook?

All you need is one shot per duck, use it like a single shot......

Nope, two redheads and one pintail. Don't drink beer while duck hunting, it against all tradition, drink Southern Comfort.

Is it jamming on 2 3/4 or on 3 inch shells?

It has done it on both. Keep in mind this is a pump, not an auto. I shoot, then can't rack the slide. It doesn't happen often enough to really piss me off, but it's a regular occurance, even freshly cleaned.

I've heard of other expresses doing this too, some even worse. WTF... you get a pump because they are supposed to be reliable and always give you repeat shots. Between this and the rust issue, I see a benelli in my future.

                        MJ:

Use Remoil, not WD40. Also, the slides can get bent or a little out of line-tear it down completely and clean the slides and grooves from all dirt and oil the heck out of it and check the slides to make sure they look straight-if bent, you can very gently bend the one back to close to original position. I have two pumps-the old 870 rarely acts up-my winchester pump does sometimes and it's usually dirt. My 870 has had probably close to 4000 rounds through it. I know I shot about 1000 on one trip in Mexico in the mid 80s.

Try GUNSCRUBBER on it, but remove the stocks first-that stuff will eat up the wood finish or melt plastic/synthetic.

WD-40 on a shotgun! OH GOOD LORD! Also, during the split I'd take that gun back to wherever you bought it and have their gun smith inspect the problem... call and make an APPT now.

I'm not sure that the gun being dirty is the cause of this. This only happens after a shot, I can rack the slide all day long and it will be smooth as can be. Something about a shell going off inside and sometimes it jams and won't release the slide. I can normally jiggle it for a moment or two and it opens, but moments count when you need a second shot.

I clean it with hoppes gun degreaser (going to start using cheap carb cleaner), and lube it with corrosion-x

Got it from Academy... do you think the pimply-faced high schooler behind the counter counts as a "gunsmith"

I will contact Remington, and send it back eventually. Probably just buy another gun while it is gone. I want one with camo patterning so it doesn't rust, and will be more discreet since I have the gun in my hands while on the yak, and it is in the open for ducks to see.
