Here is a mount that my buddy did from the 2011 - 2012 season.
The gadwall is not the prettiest that I have shot but it has unique markings. There is a ring around its neck and it has a line coming from the backside of each eye leading toward the ring around its neck. Ever see a gadwall with those markings? Young bird but the first I have shot that had those features. Pictures don't do it justice.

The plan was to hang a green head from the same season as a center piece to the merganser and the woodie but I didn't shoot one that I knew was mine alone. May have to add a greenhead from this year to it.

looks like it could be a cross between a Widgeon.

Awesome. Love the mount. I am saving for a strap mount myself, but momma thinks I have too many in the house. Fudge that I can always use more. I got invited to a hunt in Wisconsin this year and can't wait.

On a side not - I am looking for a good place to teal hunt opening morning-if anyone knows a good guide.

Call Brian at Drake Plantation. He will have more than you can count opening day. He fills up quickly though. We always do one hunt a year there.

Shorty, mount looks great. That grey has something else in it. I would think though that if it was a wigeon then it would have the white flash on its wings. Usually with a cross, you can find differences all over, not just the head. Definately unique!!! Great trophy!
