        As for duck hunting you can hunt pretty much hunt navigable waters, be careful of property lines and stuff like that. People tend to get really mad if you cross them. Also keep your distance from any other hunters, minimum 400-500 yards (more if possible). As for checking in.... you don't. And finally as far as where to go, it's gonna be tough to get someone to tell you especially in the middle of the season. The best bet is to get in the boat and scout it out. We are in the middle of the split right now, so its prefect time to go scout early in the mornings.

          Either call tpwd or you should have got a booklet when you bought your APH permit (Annual Public Hunting)permit, and it gives you directions there and a layout of the land,spots to hunt,what you can and cant hunt, some locations have a check station, where a game warden or tpwd person checks you in and checks you out. Check your Booklet all the info is there.

              and for spots i go to Mad Island WMA in matagorda county ill post a few pics of this years early teal...........
              1st pic me and 6 buddies, 2nd just me,3rd me and 2 others,4th me and 3 others.....this is just early teal i dont have and any big duck pics, but we shoot lots of widgeon,gadwalls,texas mallards, the famous spoony, teal,and one green head.
