A Rant- 09/91/13 Report

Out fishing my dad this morning at Seawolf to look for flounder. Found a bunch of em near the rocks right outside the park. We were slowly working the rocks using gulp while everyone else was fishing further out. Ended up catching 7, with 4 of them ended up being just under the limit. We were working our way to towards the ship when I noticed a guy wading in the corner. No problem, we'll just work the rocks back to the car. 10 minutes later I pull up our biggest flounder (a 17 incher) and string it. I then see the guy that was wading the corner wading right on the edge of the rocks looking right at me. My dad had hooked another flounder briefly which then spit the hook. I told my dad to keep fishing while I walked up to the guy to politely ask him if he could walk around us. As I walked towards the guy my dad brings in a potato chip. Reach the guy and ask...and he throws the no English card. That's fine. I pantomime as best as I could the fact that we were on fish and if he could move around us. He ignored me and walked right through us...even going so far as to pick up my dad's line and move it since it was in his way. WTF! Cannot imagine how mad I was! Even my dad had a look of disbelief.

Jerks are jerks that come in all colors and creeds and it always sux to run into them.
Luckily for me I know how to curse in a variety of languages.

You kept your cool and had your Dad fishing with you, so that is great. Just call the GW when you get back to your vehicle and tell them a person (describe the jerk) is keeping undersized fish and let the GW intervene and likely that jerk will get ticketed for several things, like no license and undersized fish-he was probably mad that you threw back the undersized flatties.
