Out new SportTek shirts available in the store are designed to wick moisture away from the body. Perfect for winter days.

I ALWAYS wear my breathable waders. The neoprenes I have are too heavy. Fleece pants, dry wick shirt (FWE of course) and a jacket with sweat shirt under it. You can always take layers off but you want the layers on your skin to pull the moisture away from your body.

I use pigskin utility gloves (home depot, $8 I think) to prevent blisters from rowing while kayaking. But, more importantly, after you get them soaked from an outing, they will still be plyable after rinsing and drying.
