surfside surf 5.18.10

after reading surf reports and heard my friend did good in the surf so i took off to surfside right after work and got there around 6 45...Surf was rough but green all the way and fishable...I was getting pretty beated up by the waves but tried topwater with a couple of missed blowups and switched to mirrorlure 51mr and that was the ticket..limit of trout from 17" to 22" and one over 26" trout CPRed..Also, my friend caught a slot red on gulp swimming mullet..it should be on fire next time it get flat and green again!

Way to go, Ryan!!! I might have to try in the surf one of these afternoons myself, looks like only way I'm going to get out. Limit of trout before dark, pretty cool. They are always there, just sometimes we can't get to them.

So thats how its done. I was also at surfside access 4 at that time. Throwing all in the plastic section, got one hit. Had several 51's sitting in truck, guess they taste better with a little salt. Great info. thanks for the report.
