Went wading in at 91st st pier around 6:30am. The water was very flat and very clear. Walking out from the first to second bar in chest deep water I could CLEARLY see my feet! Wow! It was on immediately, from the first cast till about 30 min. after the sun rose, 4/5 cast were keeper trout! Then the bite died out for me and I really had to work for a bite. Last hookup was a 25" angry fish that ended up burying my treble in the crotch of my thumb and pointer. Didn't hit muscle and the gentlemen next to me assisted in the extraction. I gave him the fish. All C+R. All caught on mirrodines. It was a lot of fun!

I knew the surf would straighten up the way the last 2 days have been. I envy your day. I want to go fishing before I leave for Hawaii on thursday but it's not going to happen. Nice catching.
