Got in the water at 5:45pm. Surf was semi-choppy but not too bad. Water was sandy green. Got my first trout within 10 minutes and thought it was gonna be a good day. After that, I kept getting smacks. Threw 4 back and many others hit the spoon. Around 8pm, the trout finally started feeding. Within 20 mins, had another 4 keeper trout to 17". I really wanted to stay later but it was getting too dark.
