Oleander Kayaker came and helped me check it out and pick it up. Holy cow, it came with a ton of goodies! I don't know what to do with half of it! I can hardly wait to get it wet! Woo Hoo!!

Well, if I can ever make it the gol darn water!! It's been waaaay too long since I wet a line and my prospect for the near future aren't looking too good.

On a similar subject, anybody know where I can pick up a decent yak rack for my car?

Define decent? What is it that you are looking for?

                      Good question.
Something that will fit may car without damaging it and doesn't look like I picked it up on the side of the road (and repaired with a 2x4, baling wire and sheetrock screws). The ability to take it off & on would also be a plus.

There's always the route of using a pair of straps, one through a pool noodle section and the cab, the other over the top of the yak and through the cab too. Do this as twice, once as far back, and once as far forward as you can through the cab. Don't rachet them down too much or they may bend your roof a bit! Bow line and stern line too somewhere under the bumpers too if you want to be extra safe.

May look a little too redneck for the lexus, but the yakima/thule racks are gonna be a couple bills more at least.

I tried the noodle/ strap. I've also got the foam block & strap system. The problem is that the roof is so flimsy that it bends under the weight. The one time I tried it, I only drove a few blocks but I was afraid my roof would be permanently damaged.
At this point, I'd rather find a decent rack so I can add another yak for my wife. Part of my question is what would be the best route for yaks?

Problem is your car may not have the carrying capacity for a direct load. If you want a legit rack on your car (which also helps with spreading the load evenly) its going to be pricey.

                                Yakima Q Towers - $148.50
                                Yakima Q38 Clip - $31.50
                                Yakima Q38 Clip - $31.50
                                Yakima 48 Inch Cross Bars - $72.00
                                Yakima Q Stretch Kit - $134.10
                                Yakima 4 Pack SKS Cores - $49.50

That's just the rack and not even the carrying system.

                                Here's where I got that from- http://www.rackattack.com/roof-rack-...de-results.asp
