All of the above.Originally posted by SlowRollin' View PostMoney, equipment, time...
Obviously it would be easier to purchase a ready made boat, And probably cheaper, but where's the fun in that?? I love a good project. From conception to final product. To me, there is nothing more satisfying than being involved in the project process. Designing, planning, purchasing, fabrication and finally seeing/using the finished product. Normally, I tire of my finished products and quickly sell them so I can fund my next project, whatever it may be. This time may be a little different. I find myself becoming attached to this vessel and the concept of keeping it a long time. Fishing has become a passion of mine over the past several years and this boat may be able to take me to places I couldn't get to otherwise. With that being said, now I'll have to convince the wife that we really don't need our open bow ski boat anymore...wish me luck! lol

lmao! The tilt wheel should offer the best wheel position when sitting or standing. We had to mount it upside down to get the best placement when tilted. Kudos for noticing...I'm sure others may have been wondering why I posted the same pic 2 times.lolOriginally posted by Overkiller View PostIs that a tilt wheel? Too cool. My car's got a tilt wheel... for more headroom. Guess my boat should too.

Those two words (scary & cool) have been used by many to describe this boat, but I think you may be the first to use them in that particular order. It will be cool for sure, and yes, probably scary with the throttle pushed to it's limit.Originally posted by Curmudgeon View PostI gotta see it when your done. That thing is scary cool looking.
She'll be flying, that's for sure.

We will be using LED lights. We're not wanting to run an alternator off of the fan motor if we don't have to. We're looking at a total of 7.5 amp draw for the LEDs. We will have 2 batteries on board. The plan is to switch to 1 battery while floundering, keeping the other battery isolated for starting the outboard when we are ready to move/leave.Originally posted by fishinganimal View PostNice job! What are you plans for power to the lights? Have you decided on light source? LED/Halogen Etc.
