Bummer deal! Luckily I was only about four houses from the driveway. I had to get a flatbed wrecker and launch the boat and drop off the trailer at a friends shop in JB.

The bolts just tore through the aluminum. It's a combination of two things, corrosion due to contact of dissimilar metals and they drilled the holes too close to the edge.Originally posted by WestEndAngler View Post"GET OFF MY REEF!"Comment

On a serious note get 3 cans of green corrosion x green spray all new stuff and then put on some gloves and cake on the grease on axle and leaf springs heavy greasy and nasty!! Then hit a gravel road to undercoat it it will last awhile!!!MANVEL MOBComment

It's an aluminum trailer with a bolt on galvanized torsion axle. I launch almost every day and I always power wash it, but it has 64' of 2X12' bunks with carpet that drip saltwater forever.Originally posted by The Fisherman View Post"GET OFF MY REEF!"Comment
