I took a father of a friend fishing yesterday and everything looked good until I get to West End Marine and the gas pumps where down (What's up JT???). Did not have time to head back to the house and grab cans, so I ASSUMED I had enough gas to get to Chocolate and drift the reefs. Well I was wrong, ran out entering Chocolate. Nobody in site, so I got the trolling motor out and made the best of it. Throwing popping cork and shrimp, my guess caught a sting ray, rat red and a slimer. I said enough of this and called my neighbor. He brought me 12 gallons, so we could keep fishing, which we did. Drifted a few spots, with no results. Switched to popping cork and new penny shrimp gulp and I hooked up with a 22" trout. My guess switched to the same and landed another 22" trout. It was an interesting day to say the least, but what was really cool is that was his first trout every and I did not know that. You should have seen the smile on his face, he is hooked! BTW, remember to fill our tanks
