Took the wife and the little one out for a few hours this afternoon and our little man caught his first red. He wanted to take it home but after explaining it was a little small he was ok with throwing it back. He cast his butt off to get that sucker.. The wife managed a bunch of dink trout and a few 17 inchers along with a bunch of rat reds. I caught some small trout and one 24" red, but spent most of the day helping out my little buddy. The bite really started about 7:30 this evening, but had to head in cause he has school in the a.m. We will get em again though.
He loves and has to net each fish with his little superman net. You should of seen me try and stuff that big red in there. It was a great day on the water...
I will be back at it tomorrow afternoon with my father-in-law. The water looks great out there and it is nice to have a flat bay for once. You can see the bait and slicks from way off right now.
All fish were released today. Gulp lures were the ticket today.
