Met up with Steve A and Dpop this morning at the 2004 Bridge. I needed some fish for an upcomming fish fry at my house so I got two of the best Trout killers I know to come help out
. The first stop was all it took for the saltwater assault! Or should I say topwater assault! All three of us armed with topwaters put a whoop'n on them and had 3 topwater limits by 830am. Mission complete!!!!!! LOL
All of these Trout were caught in about 3 to 4' of water over shell keying in on very nervous bait. Water was like glass this morning and was in great shape color wise. Next stop we went to the pass were Dpop caught 2 Trout in the 6lb range that were released and I had 2 more in the 21" range that were also released. The next stop was about the same as we released 3 or 4 more solid Trout to 22".
West Bay the last 3 weeks has been great. (except last Friday
) The coves have been holding plenty of Trout, Reds, and some really nice flat fish. Chocolate has been producing some good number of all 3 aswell. Bone colored topwaters have been my most consistant topwater color and plum as always my most productive plastic. Have not seen much bird activity lately but I really dont care. The shorelines and coves are producing some nice heavy fat stringers.
Good fishing with ya'll again Steve and Danny
