  • Tourney Day Report

Jeremy & I started off the morning early launching at 5:30 and making our first toss at exactly 6AM in some lights in the canals I like to visit. No reds in the first light, we made a quick run to another subdivision to a light that always holds reds, Jeremy hooked a rat red, the spot is always good for a solid red but I noticed one of underwater lights was not on. We didn't hang around long and quickly made our way to our first wade spot on the south shoreline. We jumped out and were immediately greeted by tailing reds coming towards us. Jeremy hooked up and I tossed in but couldn't buy a bite! Jeremy quickly netted a solid red and put it on oxygen. We continued the wade Jeremy hooked into another red which had us two by 7AM. We continued the wade culling out fish for heavier ones but we were not finding any large ones. Mainly 23-25". We made the move and ran into the back lakes. The tides were perfect for the Gator-Tail she had no issues. Jeremy & I poled for a few hours we caught 3 reds back in there and should have had a lot more if I could have hooked up. The reds that were caught were all caught while I was poling which works out I guess I was having issue after issue. I even lost my dang rod when messing with a fish trying to get it on oxygen it fell in the water and could not be found. So if anyone finds a new curado e7 on an all star rod let me know lol. We found pods of redfish working shrimp and crabs on the flats the weather could not have been more perfect with 0 wind Jeremy and I were spotting all sorts of bait & tails. A few boats tried to make it in but with only 1' of water in the lake there was nobody getting in here but me We moved on to another spot and again we are on the reds, on 'em all day but just not the size we needed, every spot we were greeted by them

The person that caught ALL the fish

LOL you saw me?? I was holding them up and flipping those guys off!! I can't believe they didn't see me. I could see them perfectly. The reason Coe didn't catch anything when we went to greens is because he was doing the poling. My first time poling was almost as bad as my first trailer backing experience. I started off good, but then we got a little wind and I was poling in circles!!

I take it you, not Jeremy backed in the Gater tail (if he did, ya may still be at the ramp (ha ha j/k).

Nice going Jeremy!! Way to guide Coe.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary.
