I flew back in town this weeknd for a wedding but me and dad escaped to the coast for a night and a morning.
Worked several South Shoreline coves sunday afternoon and bait was everywhere. Water looked good and a slight S wind. Catching however proved a little more difficult. Caugh one nice red on a top and caught several dink trout with some plastics.
Worked the passed area Monday morning and watched the storms in the distance. Caught this 22 inch red on a N Shoreline. Managed 5 keeper size trout near the pass. All but one was caught with a skitterwalk the other on a plastic. All fish were released for another day. The old man threw plastics, me a topwater, and the surface bite was definitely more active. Water was GREEN and wind was light. Bite picked up around 11 but i had to run to the airport for a flight bak to WV for work.
Everyone take care and until i can find landwork back in texas, enjoy the fishing for me. See ya in 3 weeks.
