the pimp,shallowist,fishinaddiction and myself hit it early this morning.first stop had tons of bait,big rafts of mullet and the trout were right there with 'em.stuck 10 or so there with several blow-ups and pull-offs.jonathon had about a 4ft. blacktip on before the man in the gray suit broke away.he did stick a solid 24" before that fiasco.waded there for about 2 hours and hit the next spot,where greg put the beat down on 'em.believe he got a limit there,and something i have'nt seen in years.i was standing close to him when "pow"!the pimp scored 2 19" TROUT ON THE SAME CAST!i had to walk over and lend a hand.not easy to handle 2 trout on the same lure.we all had several blow-ups and takers there.fished there for a while,went to the next spot and they were there,they just would'nt feed.had probably done so that morning.so, we decided to go look for some reds.we found 'em too.lots of 'em.most not willing to eat our topwaters.steve did land a few up tight to the shoreline.steve walked into a school of 15- 20 reds,most of them solid keepers,but most just blowing up.it's pretty cool to see 3 or 4 24"-25" reds coming at you.hit one more spot,picked up 1 more trout and called it a day about 2:00pm.i believe greg also had on a big jack at that last spot.awesome day to be on the water!it was good to see greg and steve again.thanks again "pimp" for the help with the slay session.ended the day with 19 trout,most of them 3-4 lbs.had a few 4.5lber's and one that would have went 5.all but 2 trout came on topwaters.pimp can put you on 'em. good to see you guys.btw,that gulf coast is sweet!smooth ride.
