I havent visited this site in quite awhile but it is time I start posting here and getting to know some of you. A lot of you probably already know me from other sites. See you on the water!!
What an awesome trip we had today. Only hit 2 spots but we caught a ton of fish. Had 2 kids (10 & 11) and Houston (boy) wanted to land his first redfish today. So that was the plan. He did that and much more. Man he was an excellent fisherkid. The little girl Katy could hold her own also. She didnt catch a slot red today but she caught everything else. The total tally was 1 flounder,6-8 rat reds and 2 slots, 2 stingrays, 6 or 7 decent sized croakers, 5 keeper black drum and a few undersize, 2 big gaffs and a thousand hardheads. All caught on dead shrimp and the 2 slots were caught 10-15 minutes before the sun hit the horizon and on our last few pieces of shrimp. The mom caught the second slot. It was a perfect way to end a gorgeous day today!!!!
