  • Morning wade at SLP

Decided to give the pass a shot before I headed back to htown. Got in the water around 630 and was greeted with a 20 mph south wind. The water was definitely fishable and had about 4-6" of vis. Started off throwing topwaters in waist deep water around some flipping mullet and shad. After 45 minutes and no blowups, I tied on a plastic and got 2 fish. The first, a fat 20" trout followed by a small keeper flounder. Both fish were released. Water was up and felt about mid 70's. Doesn't like we are going to get a break from this dang wind!

The wind killed me this weekend... I spent most of my time in protected areas just running around and enjoying the boat. She's running great and just in time to get after the fish... Hopefully wind will lay down soon...

                  GOD BLESS AND GIG'EM!

I hope I catch a 10 lb trout before I catch a flesh eating bacteria.

Glad you finally found some fish.

BTW. I forgot to thank you for being concerned about my welfare Saturday morning and getting Mrs. GGF all freaked out.

I got an earful for not calling her.

Haha I apologize, I thought you were on the north shoreline. You would have been surfing back if that was the case! My dad and I crossed the bay in that wind, it was not fun.
