My fishing partner & I were in the water at dawn and it looked like a promising topwater bite was shaping up.
Onshore wind not too strong, incoming tide, a few mullet here and there. Water was sandy but good enough. I threw a bone Spook one knocker with no lookers or takers. I had fished this area already this week and caught a few trout & reds on Corky Devils and plastic.
Then after about an hour the boat came out of Sea Isle and two guys anchored and the short guy apparently really wanted to fish "his spot"
and waded almost in front of my buddy
...they caught a few small trout and we caught a few small trout and I had one good red.
...and that was the end of spring break for me.
