friday morning recon

if anybody is interested, the water temp on the north shoreline is 56, there are two mullet. no more, just two. bird island cove and danas cove, water temp 57.5 degrees. there are no mullet in either of those. the water color on the north shoreline is perfect, unless you are a mullet, then it must not be because there are only two there. dana's is very clear, too clear for even the two mullet who moved to the north shoreline.
there was almost no wind til the storm caught me coming back in jones, then there was alot of wind with stinging rain. don't even ask about fish or even bites. hope this helps.

We got peppered with pea sized hail turning from the ICW towards Fatboys.Had about the same luck.

I got caught on the N. shoreline when the second band of rain hit right after lunch or so. It started raining & blowin' hard fast. Then the first lightning and this old dude was power wading to shore. I laid down with my back against a shell bank and just waited for a while then made my break for home. That's when the really hard rain and hail started with some serious lightning everywhere. I parked under the old JB club house, tied off and got under the house till it was done.
Me and everything in the boat got soaked..........nice out now!

The good news was the stakeout stik held and the boat didn't sink.
